An ancient spice originating in Egypt and the Mediterranean region, cumin now features in the specialty dishes of nearly every country. This herb is best grown in warm climates, producing dill-like foliage with small pink flowers.

Harvest fresh cumin leaves as needed. To collect the seed, allow the pods to ripen and turn brown; gather the clusters of pods and allow them to dry completely out of direct sunlight. Rub them gently to remove the seed, then store it in an airtight container.

  • Start the plants indoors 4-6 week before the last frost.
  • For improved germination, soak the seeds for 8 hours before planting. The seeds should germinate in 7-14 days.
  • Transplant outdoors after last frost.
  • For direct sow, plant the seeds 1/4" deep and 4" apart in rows 18" apart.

Packet contains 700mg of GMO free seeds.

All packets are handmade with a thick card stock for a chic look and feel. Some natural variation might occur.
